The youngtest daughter of William Armestronge, Lady Margaret is the striking sister of Christopher Armestronge and wife to Roland Whitney of Ex Miscellanea. Her looks usually draw attention form unwanted admirers, and rumors continue to circulate throughout the valley of a dalliance she had with Stephen Austhwaite, youngest of the Austhwaite brothers and rogue.

Background: Margaret was born in 1201 to noble parents, Lord Wlliam of Banggarth and Lady Guenevere of Wales. Christopher was their first-born (1193); her older sisters are Gwendolyn (born 1196) and Elaine (born 1199). The family holds the freehold of Banggarth - located on the low fells between Miterdale and Eskdale in Cumbria - in the service of Baron William Boyuill, Lord of Millom.
All of the Armestronges were blessed with good looks, but Margaret blossomed from a handsome young girl to an absolutely lovely maiden. She soon gained the eye of most of the men in the area, but always seemed to gain the most attention from those of unsavory character.
While she gets on quite well with her sisters, Margaret absolutely adores her brother Christopher. The two siblings were very close, and this led to friction between Christopher and the youngest of Edward Austhwaite's sons, Stephen. Rumors began to circulate that Stephen was engaged in a dalliance with young Margaret, even while she was being courted by a powerful young noble from Penrith. This caused a scandal and ended the courtship; Christopher had never been overly fond of Stephen, and ever since he has been angry with the rogue. Even the magi of Corona Montis became potential beaux; the handsome Sir Aeddan distracted Margaret from Stephen at Strickland's tournament, while the charming Sir Roland recently made his intentions clear. Christopher and William finally consented to Margaret marrying Roland in 1224. Margaret still has no shortage of admirers.
Margaret gave birth to a daughter (Michelle Christine) in 1225, in the midst of a major scandal involving Roland and Lady Lena Lancaster. In the end, all matters cleared up, but between this event and Roland's flirting with Lady Eleanor de Roche at the Merrick-Lowther wedding, Margaret has developed a jealous streak where Roland is concerned. She wants a large family.
