Members of the Strickland Family

Martin Strickland, Baron of Kendale, Lord of Burneside
Phillip Strickland
Cloe Strickland, neé Emerson
Albin Strickland

Aubrey Strickland was the first Strickland to be named Baron. In 1168 he married Sarah Herndon, and they had three children: Martin, Adrienne, and Phillip.

At the age of twenty-nine, Martin became the Baron after his farther died in a riding accident. It took him some time to become a proficient diplomat. Cloe Emerson can take all of the credit for finally bringing him around. The two were married in 1202. In 1203 their first son Troth was born, followed in 1207 by the birth of Albin.

Troth was a rash, outspoken young knight, who continually questioned his father's taxation methods. Unfortunately his father was not the problem, as the chancellor was robbing the family blind (as recounted in the story blah). When Troth confronted him about it, he was murdered.

Albin idolized his big brother and was heartbroken when he was murdered. He is currently Sir Christopher Armstronge's squire.

Phillip Strickland was a sickly child, and in the winter of 1203 he contracted and died of whooping cough.

Adrienne Strickland's first husband, Victor Marlowe, died at Damietta on the Fifth Crusade. After his death Adrienne depended on her brother's courtesy and lands. At the Strickland Tournament of 1221, Christopher Armestronge earned her favor and after several years of courting, the two were wed in the spring of 1225. Sadly, she died shortly thereafter giving birth to their daughter, whom Christopher named Adrienne after her mother.
