ndrea is newly arrived at Corona Montis in 1225. John Austhwaite had informed Baelthornon that the girl was unhappy with her current pater, none other than Llanddolyn of Cad Gadu covenant, Primus of Ex Miscellanea! Baelthornon interviewed her, and although she is not of noble birth and has a somewhat shady background, he seemed to think she had the right combination of talent, ambition and political interest, so he claimed her as his apprentice as was his right as a member of the House of Bonisagus.

Physical Description: Andrea is not overly pretty, but possesses a sort of animal magnetism which men find alluring. She is tall and slender, with long blond hair and gray eyes. She often dresses in a subdued manner, shuns jewelry, and often goes so far as to wear pants. While Baelthornon permits this when she is working in the lab, he encourages her to act more ladylike when around the nobles at Corona Montis. | |||||||||

Background: Andrea was always somewhat promiscuous, given her Special Circumstances Virtue. The whole covenant knew of her promiscuity shortly after her arrival at Corona Montis, and she had been through most of the grogs and even Stephen Austhwaite before long. Baelthornon was quite oblivious to her behavior, but when he found out about it during the trip to Greece (during the story The Search for Hermes' Staff) he was incensed. Clothilde, ever the voice of reason, agreed to have a word with her. It was soon decided that Andrea needed to find a husband, preferably noble, to both satisfy her need to augment her magical abilities as well as give her the political clout Baelthornon deemed so crucial to life, both Hermetic and mundane.
Andrea considered several eligible prospects, including Stephen, Sir Andrew, even Sir Christopher. At a feast during the tournament of 1227 (see Lion in Sheep's Clothing) she hit it off with Sir John Porter and the two retired early. They were then nearly inseparable, and finally the two wed in the summer of 1228. Many of the grogs cursed their luck, but Baelthornon breathed a sigh of relief, hoping that he had both curtailed and legitimicized her liasons. Still, this did not prevent her from having a dalliance with Canon George of Cartmel Priory during the story Thomas Askew, Where Are You?.
