Austhwaite is a pivotal character in the Corona Montis saga, being the eldest
male member of the noble Austhwaite family and also the eldest and most powerful
magus of the covenant whose members reside at Austhwaite manor. He is father
to Gladys and Clothilde Austhwaite and
father-in-law to Baelthornon of Bonisagus.
He is also uncle to Richard Austhwaite, resident
lord of the manor, Father Brendan, and Stephen.
He currently is tutoring the young King of England in Latin, and thus spends
most of his time away from the covenant in London. He has made a deal with Londinium
covenant for laboratory use there.
